Hello Chess-nuts Chess-aholics Chess-thusiasts!

Hanging Pawn Chess is a new website all about chess.  We welcome anyone and everyone who has ever played chess, would like to play chess, or who can recognize a chessboard two out of three times.

We all had to learn at some point in our lives, so we welcome the newbies who are looking for tips on how to start.  We can tell you the best books to read, the best sets to buy, and we may even share some of our strategies with you.

Some of you out there will be world-class players.  We ask you to take pity on those of us who still lose frequently.  We are all on the same journey to the perfect mate and we would be honored to hear your sage advice.

Many of you – like me – are somewhere in between.  We are having a great time with the game and just want to meet up with players like ourselves and swap stories.

We have also designed this site to be a resource for you.  If you are looking for that new set, or computer game, please check out our sponsors.  They may have what you are looking for.  And if you want to share with us your favorite chess supplier, please feel free to do so.
